Experience an exceptional aerial adventure in the heart of winter, with a paragliding experience on skis from the Vallouise Pelvoux resort. Thanks to the ski lifts, access to takeoff is effortless, in a calm and preserved mountain setting. Once at the top, you are equipped by your instructor and guided step by step to discover the magic of free flight.

A unique winter experience

Once in the air, the magic takes hold instantly: the view of the Vallouise mountains is breathtaking, with snow-covered ridges and sunlit valleys. During the flight, you may even have the chance to observe chamois or ibex from the paraglider when conditions allow. The sensation of floating above this wild environment is simply unforgettable.

Accessible, friendly, and safe

This introductory flight is accessible to everyone — adults and children alike. Takeoff on skis is very simple, requiring just a few meters of gliding before lifting off. It’s also an ideal activity to enjoy together: you can fly with family, friends, or as a couple, each with your own pilot, sharing a memorable moment while still experiencing your own individual flight.

 

Prerequisites:

You must be able to ski back down the slopes on your own in case conditions do not allow the flight.

How does it work in practice?

The meeting point is on the snow front, at the bottom of the ski lifts. We meet there and head up to the takeoff area together. The chairlift ride already sets the mood before you’re even in the air. At the takeoff site, your instructor equips you and calmly explains the takeoff procedure. Once airborne, the flight is tailored to your preferences: a calm, contemplative glide, or a few more dynamic turns if you’re looking for extra sensations. Landing is also done gently, gliding on your skis.

Taking off from a ski area means discovering winter from a completely different perspective: a blend of skiing, altitude, and freedom. In Vallouise Pelvoux, the peaceful setting and abundant wildlife make every flight unique. It’s a simple, pure, emotion-filled experience. Please note, transport tickets allowing access to take-off via the ski lifts are not included and must be taken before the flight (a low-cost paragliding package can be purchased at the ticket counters). If you have a Puy St Vincent or Vallouise week pass, the latter is valid.
