How does a paragliding experience in Chamonix – Planpraz work for your child?
The meeting is set at the start of the Planpraz ski lift, in the Chamonix valley. Accompanied by your instructor, your young adventurer will take the cable cars to the intermediate section of Brevent at an altitude of 2,050 meters.
After a short walk of about 5 minutes, we arrive at the takeoff. The instructor equips your child, carries out the safety checks, and explains the few steps to follow. To take off, a little run-up is enough... and off you go!
In flight, the instructor adapts the experience according to the desires of the young co-pilot: contemplative, fun or more sporty flight. With a little luck, he might even see ibexes, chamois or vultures around the cliffs. Then comes the moment for the gentle landing. Depending on the air conditions, the pilot will choose the best method for a comfortable return to land. The landing site is located near the town center of Chamonix: allow between 5 and 15 minutes on foot to reach it or return to the starting point.

That’s why we use equipment specifically designed for young passengers, including a harness adapted to their body shape. This child harness provides excellent support while ensuring a comfortable position throughout the flight.
It is designed to fit smaller body sizes perfectly, while meeting all current safety standards. Combined with a carefully selected wing and equipment, it allows children to enjoy their first paragliding experience in ideal conditions and with total confidence.

The opening periods for the Planpraz take-off are:
- Winter: December 14th to April 20th
- Summer: June 15th to September 15th
Outside of these periods, it's recommended to book a flight at the Plan de l'Aiguille site.
